Job Summary

​

E&P Company with US headquarters located in The Woodlands, Texas is increasing operations and projects activity with a resulting need to increase focus on both the technical aspects of Operations and Project Development and on-going operations. In this role, you will work on project development of a shallow water development consisting of a Well Head Platform tied back to an existing offshore production facility which will be upgraded with a multi-phase pipeline and control umbilical. You will be responsible for delivering the project on time, within budget and with no HSE incidents. This role will work out of their corporate offices located in The Woodlands, Texas with periodic travel to Nigeria during construction activities.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical supervision and quality control for design activities.

  • Ensure cost and schedule management systems are in place. Monitor and report progress and take corrective action as needed.

  • You will take ownership of the Nigerian project by establishing and leading a local Nigeria project execution organization, including working with local fabricators and offshore contractors to achieve project goals.

  • Finalize key project management documents (Basis of Design, Project Execution Plan) and lead development of project specific plans for management of change, interface management, risk management, contractor HSE management, etc. Lead implementation of project plans by all participants.

  • Develop contracting strategies, evaluate RFQ submittals, and participate in negotiating price and contract terms.

  • Develop HUC, Start-up, and Handover procedures.

  • Develop WHP configuration requirements and ensure seamless operations between drilling and facilities activities.

  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies to ensure all permits and approvals are obtained timely.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

​

  • BS or MS degree in Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience working in E&P as an Project Engineer and/or Project Manager. Some experience working for an Engineering Contractor is desirable.

  • Experience working on joint venture projects in Nigeria or West Africa.

  • Able to travel to Lagos, Port Harcourt, fabrication sites, and offshore for extended periods.

  • Familiarity with Primavera and Microsoft Project scheduling tools and expertise in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
