Job Summary

Our client is an engineering and software development company and they are looking for a Process Control Engineer with leadership skills.  

​

To be successful in this role, you should have the ability to Lead an On-Site Team and interact on a continuous basis. Through the following activities, you will participate in business decisions, improve processes and work closely with the client’s operations intelligence team.

​JOB REQUIREMENTS

​

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering preferred, but will consider Electrical Engineering.

  • 3+ years exp. working as a Chemical Engineer in the pulp & paper industry preferred, or oil & gas industry experience. 

  • 3+ years of experience in chemical/manufacturing plant preferred with strong ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills; previous management/team growth experience in a high-growth facility.

  • Dynamic interpersonal, problem solving skills and ability to prioritize and execute numerous project and plant needs simultaneously is critical.

  • Software working knowledge of Siemens PLC (Simatic 7) is a MUST.

  • Experience with programming, analytics, looping and hands on technical experience, SCADA systems, Advance Process Control (APC), ASPEN, Automation working knowledge.

  • Ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptable. Will not be afraid to take on new challenges, great people skills, and patience with good communication.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to Organizational operations; guide process controls and improvement.

  • Measure, track, communicate and improve key operating metrics -- develop/implement controls and processes.

  • Assist in the development and improvement of Operating Discipline documentation, use and training.

  • Actively participate on leadership teams and contribute to the Organizational and cultural change efforts.
