Job Summary

Our client is an engineering and software development company and they are looking for a Senior Programmer.
​
To be successful in this role, you should have in depth knowledge with Siemens PLC, Step 7 Pro 300/400 programming experience. Through the following activities, you will help assist in business decisions, improve processes.

​JOB REQUIREMENTS
​

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, software or management information systems and relevant job experience.

7+ years of experience working as a Programmer within the oil & gas, process plant control systems industry
-
They must understand and conceptualize applications from both a technical/programming perspective and a business point of view. Because they deal with both technical personnel and business managers/administrators, as well as participate on project teams.

They need strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Software working knowledge of Siemens PLC (Simatic 7), Step 7, Pro 300/400 Control Systems language is a MUST.

Industrial PLC knowledge with at least 3 years’ experience in industrial computer and SCADA support. Experience should include a minimum of 5 + years in writing and testing programs, and field work experience.

Working knowledge of interactive programming techniques, networking, communication systems, and accustom to departmental standards and procedure requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Write and/or modify programs of average complexity as per detailed design specification.

Execute testing and debugging procedures on single programs or multiple systems and programs.

The ability to program systems of the process to controls
-
Check own coding and coding prepared by other programming personnel. May modify existing coding to meet new requirements.
