Job Summary

​

E&P company with US headquarters located in The Woodlands, Texas is increasing operations and project activity with a resulting need to increase focus on both the technical aspects of Operations and Project Development and other on-going operations. In this role, the Contracts & Procurement Lead will be responsible for the management of procurement activities conducted by engineering contractors and drilling IPM contractors to ensure adherence to company procedures. In addition, you will coordinate all procurement activities with Nigerian operations. This role will work out of the corporate offices located in The Woodlands, Texas with periodic travel to Nigeria during construction activities.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure appropriate input from Legal, Finance, Insurance, and Tax functions is included in RFQs/ITT's(Invitation to Tender).

  • Provide guidance and supervision for a variety of procurement functions including contracts, POs, and subcontracts.

  • Participate in pre-qualification of suppliers as necessary and evaluation of commercial bids.

  • Assist in development of an Integrated Activity Plan (multiple projects) to leverage the market for better pricing.

  • Co-ordinate with project accounting to ensure contracts/POs are set up consistent with cost/progress tracking plans.

  • Assist with Contract Management/Conflict Resolution during execution of the work.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

​

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or Business Administration.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in E&P procurement environment.

  • Experience with Oil & Gas development systems is required, including Fabrication and Construction of Platforms, Pipelines, and Facilities.

  • Experience working on joint venture projects in Nigeria or West Africa, specifically with NNPC / NAPIMS.

  • Familiar with project control and project management systems and processes used in Engineering, Procurement and Construction.

  • Ability to travel to Lagos and Port Harcourt, Nigeria for extended periods.
